ABSTRACT
NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS
Planetary Sciences, Inc., is searching for 3-4 aspiring scientists to assist in the 2021 Mars Analog Research Trip. Mars is currently at the center of intense scientific study regarding the prospect of past or present life on the planet. The purpose of this investigation, therefore, is to compare and contrast paleopotamologic landscapes on the Moenkopi Plateau with those investigated by the rover Perseverance. The search for analogs along the Moenkopi Plateau is due to the similarities in fluvial erosion, influenced and modified by eolian activity, primarily from Permian through Jurassic age.
Please note, this trip will be conducted in situ and will require the research team to basecamp on the Plateau for 4 nights. Cellphone service is limited.
